Current management practices will degrade this property there are many thinly veiled attempts to extract more money from the tenant, especially during move out procedures . It is not enough to sign a lease stating when you will move out. If you do not formally, in writing, restate your intention to vacate 2 months in advance - you are charged as if you were staying. The additional rent for days we were not living there - after we moved out is higher than the original and additional surcharge was added for the imposed short term extension. Their practices to extract more $$ are unjust and demoralizing. The local management hides behind "the corporate office", which they state tells them what they have to do .

Barton Vineyards seems like a great place to live, and they definitely do a good job at convincing you that they need to live there. After you sign the lease, they are more worried about getting your money then making sure you are comfortable in your home.
